This is the website of the RAF Waddington Amateur Radio Club, based at the Pyewipe Inn, Lincoln, England.
We are a group of individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and experience, all with a shared passion
for everything radio! Not sure what amateur radio is?
Find out all about it here.
We hope you enjoy your visit to our site and look forward to meeting you on a club night or on the air.
A reminder to members that our club Christmas Dinner is on the 14th December, at the Pyewipe Inn 7.30
for 8 pm. If possible, please bring a prize for the raffle!
This event was run to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the RAF receiving its first Typhoon on December 18th 2003.
To help commemorate this event the RAF Coningsby ARC members will be putting GX3LQS/P on the air from different locations during November & December for the Typhoons’ 20th anniversary.
Club members are reminded that there is a committee meeting at the Pyewipe shack on 10 November, starting at 20:00 sharp.
Members are welcome to attend to listen!
Members of the club were operational again at former RAF Binbrook during the weekend of 6-8 October, activating this location for Airfields on the Air.
We were back at the Newark Air Museum for the weekend of 16-17 September,
for the 60th anniversary of the museum’s Avro Vulcan XM594 entering RAF service in September 1963 at RAF Scampton.
Using the callsign GB0NAM, we made many contacts on HF (CW and SSB), and on 2m. Our thanks to those stations who took the time to contact us on what
was a very enjoyable weekend in fine weather. The Maidenhead/QRA locator for the museum is IO93OC and the WAB square is SK85.
