Welcome to G0RAF, the Lincolnshire amateur radio club based in Lincoln. We’re a friendly and inclusive group of radio enthusiasts of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels. Everyone is welcome — whether you’re a complete beginner, a family looking for a new hobby, a student, or a seasoned operator with years of experience.
Amateur Radio in Lincoln – What we do
We meet every Thursday evening from 7:30 pm at our club shack beside the Pyewipe Inn (Saxilby Road, Lincoln LN1 2BG).
We offer training and mentoring for anyone in Lincoln interested in amateur radio: from gaining your licence to learning how to operate confidently and experiment with radios, antennas, and digital modes.
We organise and take part in special event stations across Lincolnshire, field days, contests, and public demonstrations.
We share hands-on knowledge — from HF/VHF/UHF operation, antenna building and Morse code, to satellite work and portable radio operation.
We welcome people of all ages — from school-leavers and young people to retirees and families.

Why join G0RAF – Your Lincolnshire Radio Club?
Open to everyone — you don’t need any military or RAF connection. G0RAF is here for the wider Lincoln amateur radio community.
Learn at your own pace — study for your Foundation, Intermediate, or Full licence with support from experienced members.
Try radio without owning equipment — use our rigs and antennas, see demonstrations.
Friendly community — weekly meetings, workshops, and social events make it easy to meet like-minded people in Lincoln who love amateur radio.
Public events in Lincolnshire — from Airfields on the Air to local rallies, we bring radio to the community and show what the hobby can achieve.
